Not every work belongs to a series. Some begin as an experiment, a new technique, an unexpected combination of materials, or simply an idea that I need to pursue.
This collection brings together selected works from across my practice — pieces made while exploring colour, texture, pattern, surface, challenges and the possibilities of cloth. Some are small studies; others have developed into more substantial works. Together, they reflect the curiosity and experimentation that have always been an important part of my practice.
I work across painted fabric, stitch, collage, appliqué, mixed media and other textile processes, but technique is rarely the starting point. I am more interested in what a material can contribute to an idea, and what happens when familiar processes are pushed, combined or used in unexpected ways.
These works are the detours, experiments and creative meanderings that sit alongside my more defined bodies of work — a record of where curiosity has taken me.
